Ray Mack joined the Marines, right
out of high school in 1959, at the
young age of 17. He was stationed in
Albany, Georgia at the Marine Corps
Supply Center, and served as a
computer operator there for four
years. While in Albany, by chance, he
got involved with a rock and roll
radio station as a part time salesman
and announcer. He got his foot in the
door by selling ads, but his ultimate
burning desire was to sit behind the
microphone.
Ray Mack “played” on the radio for
10 glorious years as a humorous on air
personality in markets like Akron,
Charlotte, Jacksonville, Toledo and
Mobile, while starting a family, and
earning a Master of Arts degree. In
the early 70’s, Ray Mack gave up the
mike and the thrill of announcing, in
favor of the money and power of a
radio sales management career. After
reaching sales goals like no one
thought possible, Ray left
broadcasting, and formed a sales,
marketing and communications training
firm.
For 15 years, he spoke nationally,
as well as promoting open to the
public motivational programs featuring
“…only the best!“ speaking
professionals in America. Today, he
oversees the Superstars Speaker
Resource Bureau. |
